Modern Office Management
About Department
Government Polytechnic, Bhubaneswar previously known as Women's Polytechnic, Bhubaneswar was established in the year 1978 with only one department called Department of Stenography and Secretarial Practice with a duration of two years. In 1992, it was upgraded into a three years' diploma course in Modern Office Management having +2 in any stream as the entry level. It prepares students to earn expertise in both front and back office management.Modern Office Management refers to those jobs which are necessary to keep the office running smoothly and deliver services in time. Besides various key activities taken by a modern office management professional the use of latest technology stands inseparable for better functioning of the office.Department of Modern Office Management has been imparting education to students in this regard. Moreover it is the only diploma course which is equivalent to B.Com with Hons. and BBA in the state. Intake of this department is 20.

VISION
The mission of Modern Office Management department is to create able office managers self sufficient in all activities of an office whether government or private or corporate.MISSION
- Develop managerial skills in young students.
- Create entrepreneurs catering to the needs of a changing socio-economic scenario.

To train the students with sound knowledge in computer fundamentals and develop skill to manage front and back office demands effectivelyPE02:
