VISION

The vision of the Department of Information Technology is to develop knowledge and skill of students by quality education to make responsible and competent technocrats who will work for the needs of industries and betterment of the society.

MISSION

• Provide an excellent learning environment for the students to be technically efficient in solving problems.
• Prepare the students with strong fundamental concepts, analytical capability and programming skills.
• Create a nurturing environment for lifelong learning.
• Generate social awareness and responsibility within the students to serve the mankind and protect the environment.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

PE01: Strong fundamentals and technically skilled

To equip the students with sound knowledge in mathematics, science and basic engineering fundamentals and develop skill to solve engineering problems.

PEO2: Higher study and professional responsibilities

To enable students to pursue higher studies for professional growthand/or work as an entrepreneur for successful professional career.

PE03: Teamwork and lifelong learning

To inculcate soft skill, professional and ethical attitude, teamwork, leadership skills and multidisciplinary approach within the students which will enable themto correlate societal issue with engineering solution and pursue lifelong learning.

PO 1: Basic and Discipline specific knowledge

Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.

PO 2: Problem analysis

Identify and Analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.

PO 3: Design/ development of solutions

Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.

PO 4: Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing

Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.

PO 5: Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment

Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.

PO 6: Project Management

Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.

PO 7: Life-long learning

Ability to Analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.

PS01:

Ability to design and develop methodologies in computer programming and apply those skills in the field of Information Technology.

PS02:
